| Randy L. Teats May 29, 1953 - Aug. 1, 1972 Mansfield News-Journal, Aug. 1, 1972, and Norwalk Reflector, Aug. 2, 1972 GREENWICH -- Randy L. Teats, 19, of 31 W. Main St., died Tuesday at Mansfield General Hospital as a result of injuries in an auto accident near Willard. The young man, who had graduated from South Central High School this spring, had been in the intensive care unit with broken legs, a broken arm and multiple cuts and bruises. He was injured July 25 when he was struck by a car and thrown 109 feet while walking around a car he was test-driving on Bullhead Road. He and James David Inmon of Greenwich, an employe of Sunshine Motor Sales, had been exchanging places in their car when the accident occurred. The State Highway Patrol said a car driven by James C. Thornton, 19, Willard, was turning from U.S. 224 onto Bullhead Road when it struck Teats. Thornton was treated for his injuries at Willard Area Hospital. Randy was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Teats; two sisters, Mrs. James Russell of Shelby and Renee Teats at home; one brother, Buddy, at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Carl Murphy of Willard; and his grandfather, Charles Miller of Greenwich. Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Humrichouser will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call this evening at the funeral home. |
