SHILOH -- Ella Mae Hamons, 66, resident of Shiloh and formerly of Greenwich, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 19, 2019, at her home with her loved ones. Ella was born Oct. 11, 1953, in New Haven to the late Charity Shepherd Lacy.

She was a homemaker most of her life. Ella loved to spread the word of Jesus. She loved her children and grandchildren and watching them grow. Most of all, she loved the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ella is survived by her children, Josh (Gwen) Hamons of Bellevue, Jon Hamons, Sissy (Rory) Kuhn of Shiloh; daughter-in-law, Linda Hamons of Bellevue; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Chaddock and Rita Tolle; six brothers, Ronald, Glen, James, Gary, Duane and Todd Lacy; and a step-daughter, Debra Stahl.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Melvin Hamons; a brother, Charles "Bo" Lacy; and three step-sons, Melvin Ray, Doyle J. and Lyle R. Hamons.

Friends and family may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon, when the funeral service start, with Pastor Bill Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
