| Dianna Dale (Dimick) Sanders Sept. 26, 1953 - Aug. 27, 2014
NYACK, N.Y. -- Dianna Sanders loved to travel, to watch bull riding and most of all, her family. On Aug. 22, Dianna passed away at home following a long battle with progressive supranuclear palsy. Dianna married Martin P. Sanders, her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 42 years, in Greenwich, Ohio. They weren't afraid to move for the right opportunity and live took them to many interesting places. They lived in Georgia, the Chicago area and Regina, Saskatchewan, before making Nyack, N.Y., their home in 1991. She traveled extensively on six continents with an enthusiastic interest in new cultures. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Bo (Christine) Sanders of Los Angeles, Amie Sanders of Philadelphia, Eric Sanders of Austin, Texas, and Lauren (Nick) Pupik of Philadelphia; siblings Kenny Dimick and Karen Fink of Willard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Beth Dimick of Greenwich. The Sanders family will receive visitors on Aug. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Living Christ Church's McCaig Hall in Nyack. A memorial service to celebrate Dianna will be held Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. at Goodwill Church in Montgomery, N.Y. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Dianna's name to a homeless charity close to her heart, MHASP, 7200 Chestnut St., Upper Darby, PA 19082 or CurePSP.org. |
